OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch its compact flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13 Mini, in early 2025. This will be the first time in years that the company has ventured into such a device, as OnePlus has primarily focused on larger devices in recent years. According to rumours, the OnePlus 13 Mini looks to combine high-end specs with a smaller form factor. Now, a latest leak suggests that the phone will feature a massive 6,000mAh battery under the hood.
According to Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 Mini will reportedly feature a 6,000mAh battery. This is an interesting move, considering the phone will pack a big battery in a compact form factor. That’s not all, as the report also claims that OnePlus and Oppo will be rolling out devices in the second half of 2025 with even bigger batteries, ranging from 6,500mAh to 7,000mAh.
The OnePlus 13 Mini is expected to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 Mini is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This places it in direct competition with other flagship devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Vivo X200 Pro.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 13 Mini is said to represent a major departure from the brand’s previous devices. OnePlus industrial designer Lao Haoran recently hinted at a significant design overhaul for the company’s 2025 lineup, and the 13 Mini is expected to showcase this new direction. Reports suggest the phone will feature a metal frame and a glass back, giving it a premium feel. Additionally, it is expected to include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and support wireless charging, features that have become standard in flagship devices.
The camera setup, however, has been a point of contention among leaks. While earlier reports suggested a triple-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, newer leaks claim it might feature a dual-camera setup instead. This would include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
The OnePlus 13 Mini is rumoured to launch as early as March 2025, though it’s unclear whether it will be available globally or limited to specific markets. In related news, OnePlus’s sister brand, Oppo, is set to launch the Find N5 foldable smartphone on February 20. Also, for those who don’t know, the OnePlus Open 2, which was rumoured to be the rebranded version of the Find N5, will not be launching this year.
